Find Your Flow: The Simple and Life-Changing Practice for a Happier You   by Sarah Gregg     This all seemed slightly familiar to me. I used to start my morning in somewhat similar undertakings of Gratitude, writing things down, journaling and focusing on the day ahead. I haven't done that for eons, and this short, succinct work is positive, easy to follow and useful. The four step program includes-- Morning Grateful flow: Wake up Happy Forward Focus:Living with Intention Total Flow: Train Your Brain Nighttime Reflections: Become Aware, Grow and Flow Journal pages incorporating these steps has been included to help make a start.  "Find your flow" is a timely reminder to me of past forgotten habits and a chance to move in a old but new direction. It's Never Too Late to Begin Again: Discovering Creativity and Meaning at Midlife and Beyond   by Julie Cameron and Emma Lively A lively and extremely accessible foray into discovering new directions. I have been following this program and found it helpful. I found the practice of daily journaling already extremely helpful as a tool to contemplating changes of direction. I also found that I had to adjust my length of pages to fewer when I began. I am quite cross with myself that I didn't start reading it earlier. (But maybe I wasn't ready earlier.) In essence this is a twelve week course to help set you on a refocused path as you enter retirement. Determined to take advantage of the gift I've been handed, I am taking up the reigns of my life using this book as a guide post. 'Trusting my inner wisdom' is ...

Clearing Clutter: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual by Alexandra Chauran   The link between mindset and clutter was interesting. Certainly a good introduction to the task at hand. I had been looking for a 10 easy steps. This is not that. This is a 'take a look at your life' message, with materials for reflection, and actions useful for that decluttering task. Chairman terms it 'Simplification.' 'When you finally finish your simplification process...move the bags out if your house as quickly as possible...Don't allow yourself any time to agonize over the chore...you need to move onto the next stage of harmonizing.' There are some gems of wise actions and fascinating 'to do's' along the way. My 'harmonizing' journey is beginning. A NetGalley ARC ****

The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Power of Meow (The Dalai Lama's Cat #3) by David Michie  HHC (His Holiness' Cat), a Himalayan, a cat of many names amongst them Snow Lion, Rinpoche and  Little Sister is a wonderful character. Life in Dharamsala is viewed through this important little personage's eyes. A cat of consequence, although humble, HHC is working on becoming more 'mindful' cat, on exercising the power of the moment, the power of meow as the path to enlightenment is trod. A cat who 'couldn't change the world but could change how he experienced it.' Today 'Mindfulness' seems to be a buzz word cropping up all over the place. In 'The Power of Meow', we see this concept discussed between the Dalai Lama, Serena and Mrs Trinci, when they talk about the exercising of meditation cultivating awareness and creating space of the mind,  'Little by little, you become more mindful, more aware of every action of your body, speech and m...
