The High Druid's Blade: The Defenders of Shannara by Terry Brooks I do hanker after works that surround the gifts of the Leah family in the Shannara stories. The High Druid's Blade recalls those earlier stories with some alacrity. Here we meet the solidly worthy and determined Paxon Leah and his youthful, careless yet feisty sister, Chrysallin.   The Sword of Leah once again rises from decades of silence and legend and just maybe the gift of wishsong resurfaces as a desperate last measure. A dark sorcerer, Arcannen captures Chrys and uses her as bait in order to lay his hands on the sword. The Ard Rhys of the Druids is Alphenglow Ellesedil in Paranor.  However, it seems a traitor is in their midst.
