It’s Verity’s investigations at a Venetian Breakfast that lead her into a compromising position witnessed by Hardwicke! What?! Hardwicke’s response is magnificent.

There’s chemist’s calculations, a missing moleskin notice, dead bodies, and live ones crowding the story. There’s people you’d rather not know, and people you’d love to meet. Then there’s the Marquis of Ware!

A compelling and often hilarious read!
